Privacy Policy

Rivalry FC · Last updated: 26 July 2026
The short version. Rivalry FC has no accounts and no logins. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or location. We don't use analytics or advertising trackers. The only information stored on our servers is the tournament data you and your group create — scores, team assignments, and the display names you type in.

Information we collect

Rivalry FC does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal information such as your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or device identifiers for advertising.

The app stores two categories of data:

1. Tournament data (stored on our servers)

When you create or join a tournament, a shared record is stored on our hosting provider so that everyone with the tournament's share code can see the same information. This record contains:

This data is not linked to any personal identity. Anyone who has the share code can view and edit the tournament — that is the intended design, since it is how a group plays together. Please don't type sensitive personal information into display names or nicknames.

2. Data stored only on your device

The following stays in your device's local storage and is never sent to our servers:

Clearing your browser data, or uninstalling the app, removes this local information.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Rivalry FC contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share data with data brokers.

Device permissions

The app requests no device permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, location, Bluetooth, or health data. The app may trigger a short vibration during a live draft when it is your turn to pick; on most platforms this requires no permission.

How long we keep tournament data

Shared tournament records automatically expire and are deleted approximately 180 days after they were last updated. Active tournaments keep renewing this window each time someone records a result.

Deleting your data

Children's privacy

Rivalry FC is a general-audience sports app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to collect from a child user.

Service providers

We use third-party infrastructure to host the app and store tournament records. These providers process the tournament data described above on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not share tournament data with anyone else.

Security

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access credentials for our data store are held on our server and are never included in the app itself. Because tournaments are intentionally shared by code, anyone holding a share code can read and edit that tournament — treat share codes as you would a party invitation.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, note it in the app.
